Johanna Talihärmast has been named the first Estonian sportswoman to join the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The appointment marks Talihärm as the third Estonian to serve on the IOC, following Friedrich Akel and Joakim Puhk, both of whom died as a result of Soviet occupation.
