According to Tarmo Lauring, head of the A1000 Market store chain, stores are increasing investment in advertising campaigns to demonstrate profitability. Lauring noted that only 3-5% of the entire product range is typically discounted in large retail chains.

The purpose of these campaigns is to attract customers to the stores.
