French and Danish shipyards are constructing liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers with high ice class for use by Russia. The vessels are intended to supply the Russian military. Ten European Union member states have called for restrictions on this activity. However, there is currently no agreement among EU nations regarding the imposition of new sanctions against Russia.
