A stamp with a long-eared marten appeared

The Southern Estonia Postimees issued a new postmark featuring a lendorav on September 10th, 2022, at 00:02. The design was created by Indrek Ilves. The postmark has a value of 90 cents and is intended for domestic mail.

The lendorav is a species found in Estonia, Finland, Belarus, and Russia. It is a species with a hidden lifestyle and is rarely observed in its natural habitat. Its diet consists of tree leaves during the summer months and pine, spruce, and spruce bark and cones during the winter.

Lendoravs typically breed once or twice a year, producing litters of two to four offspring. The species is primarily threatened by the decline and fragmentation of old, hollow-bearing beech trees.
