A family dog died after being hit by a car on the Tallinn-Tartu highway in Kose village on March 22nd. The incident occurred in the early afternoon near the ecoduct between Kose and Mäo. According to the Estonian Hunting Association, a fox was crossing the road when it was struck by a vehicle. Authorities subsequently euthanized the animal. One driver fled the scene following the accident. Huntingman Ruttar Roht noted that traffic accidents involving large predators are becoming increasingly common, indicating a rising population of these animals and emphasizing the need for drivers to exercise caution when traveling on the road.
