Border Guard hovercraft assistance was provided to an ATV driver stranded on the Peipsi lake on Saturday. The driver, who had driven off the road, found himself alone on the lake’s shore and requested assistance from border guards. Initially, the driver contacted border guards, stating he was lost and unable to locate the shoreline independently. Border guard personnel were directed to the correct location via telephone guidance from the driver. However, the driver subsequently contacted authorities again, reporting he was stuck in the snow-covered lake. A border guard hovercraft team responded during the night and transported the driver safely to the shore.
