Police are urging the public not to share false information circulating on social media regarding a purported bomb threat at the Keaklinna school in Viljandi. Over the weekend, fake news spread concerning a Delfi article alleging a bomb discovery. The fabricated content consisted of a screenshot designed to mimic the Delfi news portal’s style. Authorities have confirmed that no such article was ever published on the Estonian news portal. The police are classifying this as a deliberate act of spreading misinformation. Similar false news reports were also circulating in Tartu. Individuals who encounter such posts are being asked to report them to the relevant authorities.
