E. coli-like bacteria were detected in the water supply of Karilatsi village in Põlva district during a routine inspection conducted by Põlva Vesi. According to the company’s manager, Kristo Kivisaar, a sample revealed the presence of the bacteria. The sample was taken from one customer. Eight properties within the village are connected to the public water supply network and receive the water. Company officials recommend boiling tap water for at least ten minutes before consumption to prevent infection.
