At the Paide market in Estonia, two stands were offering mushrooms for sale on Wednesday, with a price of 16.5 euros per kilogram. Sergei Kustov, a mushroom trader at one of the stands, stated that the mushrooms originated from numerous forests, though in limited quantities. The first half of the summer experienced dry conditions, followed by rainfall that stimulated mushroom growth.

In the Järvamaa region, forests have yielded substantial harvests, with some areas producing enough mushrooms to fill buckets and baskets. The Central Estonian mushroom market has become a destination for tourists traveling from hundreds of kilometers, seeking mushrooms where they can be found.
