The Provincial Reconstruction Agency (PRIA) commenced today with the distribution of direct payments to eligible farmers. On December 9th, over 11,000 applicants are scheduled to receive approximately 77 million euros in basic income support. All applicants whose applications and claims are fully processed will receive their direct payments by Christmas. Nearly 13,000 farmers applied for various direct payments this year, totaling a budget of nearly 200 million euros. Approximately 145 million euros of this budget is allocated for payments in December.
