The member of the Valga County militia was awarded the title of Year’s Defender

The year’s defense officer, Anti Altement, was awarded the title of the year’s defender by the Valgamaa militia unit of the Defence League. Defence League Commander Brigadier General Riho Ühtegi and Naiskodukaitse President Airi Tooming presented Altement with prizes, including bronze figures of a defender and a Naiskodukaitse member. Altement, a member of the Helme single company of the Valgamaa militia and a company commander, is also a civilian worker and father to his children.

He is described as consistently present and involved in Defence League activities, participating in training events such as “Sibul” and “Kevadtorm,” as well as supporting youth defense education through involvement in children’s camps and training for the Naiskodukaitse battalion instructor.
