Police arrested sixteen drivers for alcohol-related offenses in one day on September 10, 2022. Three drivers were charged with driving under the influence, while thirteen others were found to be driving while under the influence of alcohol. According to police reports to BBN, individuals exceeding the legal blood alcohol content limit, which ranges from 0.2 to 1.49 per mil, face traffic offenses punishable by fines up to €1,200, potential detention for up to 30 days, or license confiscation for up to one year.

Drivers found to be under the influence of drugs or exceeding a blood alcohol content of 1.5 per mil may face criminal charges, including fines of up to €300 or imprisonment for up to three years, alongside vehicle confiscation as part of the sentence.
