ETV+ regained the title of the most popular TV channel among non-Estonians on October 15, 2023, according to rus.err. In September, “1+2” held the top position.

Among all residents of Estonia, ETV remained the most popular channel in September, with its audience increasing from 12.4% to 15.9%. Kanal 2 and TV3 also ranked within the top three in September, with Kanal 2’s viewing share increasing from 10% to 10.2% and TV3’s share decreasing from 5.3% to 4.7%. In September 2022, ETV’s rating was 17.3%, Kanal 2’s was 10.6%, and TV3’s was 5.2%.

From Russian-speaking TV channels, ETV+ achieved the highest average daily audience share in September, at 2.3%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points from August. The share of “1+2” decreased from 1.7% to 1.3% during the same period. In September 2022, ETV+ had a share of 2.7%, and “1+2” a share of 1.2%.

According to Kantar Emor data, residents of Estonia (including those over 4 years old) watched television for an average of 3 hours and 6 minutes per day. Estonians watched television for 3 hours and 4 minutes, while representatives of other nationalities watched for 3 hours and 11 minutes. Among Estonians, ETV accounted for 21.4% of viewing time, Kanal 2 for 13.8%, and TV3 for 6.3%.

Among representatives of other nationalities, ETV+ accounted for 7.3%, “1+2” for 4.3%, and TNT Baltic for 1.8%. The broadcasting of former most popular Russian-speaking channels PBC, “RTR-Planeta” and “NTV-Mir” was discontinued in Estonia from March 2022.
