Eesti Energia announces new management team effective April 1, 2023. Eesti Energia’s board confirmed the composition of the board, which will assume management responsibilities starting April 1. Kelli Toss-Kaasik will serve as financial manager, Marlen Tamm as energy solutions development director, Kristjan Kuhi as group energy solutions development director, and Raine Pajo as strategic development and research director.

Andrus Durejko will continue as managing director of Eesti Energia. The company’s strategy focuses on achieving carbon neutrality by 2045, encompassing the construction of new environmentally friendly production capacities, comprehensive energy solutions for customers, increased digitalization, and the introduction of new technologies. “The team thanks the board for their trust and is fully committed to the company’s strategy,” stated Andrus Durejko.

Eesti Energia’s chairman, Anne Mere, noted the board’s intention to bring a fresh perspective to the company’s management while maintaining core competencies. “Andrus Durejko has assembled a balanced and highly motivated team, which has all the prerequisites to lead Estonia’s energy future,” she said. Andrus Durejko has previously served as chairman of the Ericsson Eesti AS board since 2018, holding various roles within the company including regional manager for Ericsson Ukraine’s mobile communications.

Kelli Toss-Kaasik joined Eesti Energia in 2007, holding positions in human resources, including head of the personnel partner team from 2019 to 2021, and subsequently serving as client experience director. Marlen Tamm has been involved in Eesti Energia’s financial sector since 2012, most recently as head of management accounting, previously working at Swedbank. Kristjan Kuhi has worked at Ericsson for 13 years, specializing in the Internet of Things sector, and has been involved in technical committees and vocational standards working groups.

Raine Pajo has been a member of the board since 2006, with experience in energy security, IT, and large-scale energy projects, including a previous role as a member of the board of Elering.
