On Saturday in the late afternoon, an accident occurred on the 130 km Tallinn-Narva highway, resulting in one person’s death and five injuries. At approximately 14:50, emergency services received a call regarding a collision between an Infiniti and an Audi vehicle near Kyrkküla, Viru-Nigula Parish. Preliminary reports indicate that a head-on collision took place. Police Department of Yyteri Group Head Pavel Reskin stated that one person died as a result of the accident, and five individuals sustained injuries, including a child. Reskin indicated that the circumstances surrounding the collision are currently unclear and investigators are interviewing witnesses. It is known that one vehicle entered the opposite lane, leading to the head-on impact. The direction of travel of the other vehicle is still under investigation.
