On September 9, construction activity was observed on the shore of Lake Järva in Järva-Jaani. Approximately 25 square meters of an A-house were transported and prepared for construction. The project involves the installation of a service building on the lake’s shore as part of the area’s detailed planning.

Arctic Finland House secured the three-part tender for the construction, with the house costing 14,500 euros with VAT. The total project cost, including electricity, water, and sewerage connections, is 24,000 euros, with the Järva vald contributing 10,000 euros. Funding for the service building originates from the allocated funds for the Järva-Jaani lake promenade development.

Siret Kotka, representing the Centre Party, proposed the project and received 14,000 euros from the district for the promenade’s development. The house is intended for use throughout the year. According to Järva vald district manager Veiko Kurimi, the building will feature an L-shaped terrace.

During the summer months, it is planned to operate as a café, with a competition to be held to select a vendor who will also offer leisure activities. In winter, the house will be utilized for ice skating. The structure includes electricity, water, and sewerage connections, along with external lighting and a video surveillance system.

Previous improvements to the lake shore include the installation of new benches, barbecue areas, and a children’s playground, as well as the construction of a youth hostel and children’s playground. Future plans may include the laying of paving stones on the promenade.
