The Estonian coast experienced stormy conditions Saturday, according to the National Environment Agency’s forecast. Strong winds and heavy rain, including hail, are expected throughout the day. Cloud cover intensified overnight, with rain spreading from Western Estonia eastward and northeastward.

Intense rainfall was reported in some areas. Southwesterly winds strengthened to 5-12 meters per second, with gusts up to 18 m/s along the Western Estonian islands and coastline. Following midnight, the wind shifted from the west to the east, continuing to strengthen inland with gusts up to 16 m/s, and up to 22 m/s on the islands and coastline.

Temperatures will reach 7-11 degrees Celsius by morning. Lake Peipsi saw a strengthening of southwesterly and westerly winds at 11-15 meters per second, with gusts up to 20 m/s. By morning, the wind weakened.

Wave height reached 1.3-2 meters. Rain began after midnight. Visibility was fair to moderate.

Temperatures rose to 8-10 degrees Celsius. The day will be partly cloudy with rain. Showers may be heavy and include hail.

By late afternoon, cloud cover and rainfall will decrease, with southerly winds prevailing, reaching 7-13 meters per second with gusts up to 20 m/s on the islands and 13-18 m/s along the coastline, with gusts up to 25 m/s. Temperatures will reach 12-16 degrees Celsius. Lake Peipsi will experience winds of 8-12 meters per second, with gusts up to 17 m/s.

Wave height will be 1-2 meters. Rain will continue with moderate or poor visibility. Temperatures will be 11-13 degrees Celsius.
