The Estonian Police Dogs welcomed two new service puppies, Xento and Xylon, to their ranks on March 22, 2023. Both are Belgian shepherd puppies. Xento is currently residing with the North Prefectural Service Dogs. According to his handler, a young puppy in an unfamiliar environment can exhibit similar behaviors to those at home. Handler Fred utilizes his service dog, Fifa, to assist in acclimating Xento to his new surroundings. Fifa is enjoying retirement while supporting Xento’s adjustment. Another puppy, Fenrir, is being referred to by his handler at home as Fenrir. The puppy is already adapting to his new environment, often engaging with wooden and table items when unsupervised. The Estonian Police Dogs maintain an Instagram page to share updates on their service dogs.
