Samples of water taken from a well in Nõmme following a recent test of the water in Lake Ülemiste revealed varying conditions. One jar contained growing iron bacteria, another showed dead iron bacteria, and the third exhibited a slimy deposit at the bottom. The test material, preserved from a previous test conducted by Tallinna Vee which directs water from the Nõmme water pipe into the lake Ülemiste, indicated the presence of iron bacteria.
