Starlink, SpaceX’s satellite communication service, will begin offering text messaging and, subsequently, mobile calls to smartphones utilizing 4G networks. According to information published on the Starlink website, the service will initially launch in the continental United States, along with the Hawaiian Islands, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and territorial waters. Cooperation is being conducted with mobile operator T-Mobile. The service is expected to expand to include voice calls starting next year. All smartphones currently operating on the 4G network will be capable of utilizing the starlink service.
