Estonian film “The Raised Princess,” directed by Brigitte Susanne Hund, has prompted a surprising emotional response from one critic. The 14-minute film, costing 10 euros to view, was initially intended as a deliberately over-the-top comedy. However, the critic found himself feeling saddened by the film, describing it as a potential lesson on how not to live one’s life.

The work is not comparable to the acclaimed Estonian folk film “Justice” by Toomas Aria.

  1. “This film seems to have unintentionally evoked a genuinely poignant and unsettling reaction, which is quite remarkable given its intended comedic style.”
