The government representative for Ida-Viru County will receive a monthly salary exceeding 5,000 euros, according to information provided by Minister of Regional Affairs Madis Kallass. Kallass informed Delfi that the salary for the special government representative will be equivalent to that of the vice-chancellor of the Ministry of Regional Development and Agriculture, totaling 5,130 euros gross per month. Yannus Purg was appointed to the newly created position on October 12, following a competition that drew 34 candidates. Purg will begin his role on Monday, October 16th, and will be based in Yihvi.
