An accident occurred at the Sõmeru crossing in Estonia on Tuesday at 12:17. A Latvian-registered truck and a heavy-duty vehicle collided. Initial reports indicate that a Renault passenger car, driven by a person from the opposite lane, failed to yield to the heavy-duty vehicle on the main road and made a turn directly in front of it, resulting in a collision. The driver of the Renault was transported to the hospital for a medical examination. Both drivers were sober and possessed valid driver’s licenses.
