The Estonian association for adult educators, Andras, has issued a call for nominations for its annual recognition contest dedicated to the field of adult education. Interested parties are requested to submit their nominations for candidates by May 31st. The awards are structured across four distinct categories designed to honor excellence within the sector.

These categories include: the Year’s Learner (aasta õppija), the Year’s Educator (aasta õpitegu), the Year’s Trainer (aasta koolitaja), and the Employer Friendly to Learners (aasta õppijasõbralik tööandja). These awards aim to recognize outstanding contributions and achievements across the entire spectrum of adult learning. The nomination process begins at the local level.

Within each county, regional branches are responsible for selecting and presenting their candidates for recognition at local county events. These initial selections form the pool from which the national recognition process proceeds. Following the regional events, a nationwide commission takes charge of selecting the laureates.

This multi-tiered system ensures that recognition is both grassroots and nationally vetted. The opportunity to nominate deserving individuals is crucial, as the association seeks to celebrate the dedication of educators, learners, and supportive employers alike. Therefore, the call to action is clear: interested parties can submit their nominations for candidates across the four specified categories.

By participating, the community contributes to acknowledging the significant efforts that sustain and advance adult education throughout Estonia.
