Susanna Veevo to present “My Iran” at Rahva Raamat in Tallinn Susanna Veevo will present her new book, “My Iran. Stolen Freedom,” at the Rahva Raamat in Tallinn’s Viru center on March 22nd at 18:00. The event will feature an interview with the book’s editor, Evelin Kivimaa. Veevo’s book details her experiences traveling as a woman in Iran for six months. She describes the country as possessing a rich culture and history, noting its diverse landscapes including marketplaces, oases, and ancient temples. “Even existing is in Iran like a protest action, especially when it comes to hair and the headdress that comes out of it,” Veevo stated. She acknowledges the risks associated with traveling as a woman in Iran, noting that “This is a country where women are murdered for their hair.” The presentation will repeat on March 23rd at 18:00 at the Rahva Raamat in the Viru center.
