Right-Wing Party Leader Perling Considered for Estonian Fencing Union Presidency

Lavly Perling, leader of the Right-wing Party and a former State Prosecutor, is being considered for the presidency of the Estonian Fencing Union. The potential appointment was facilitated by the Estonian Olympic Committee, following discussions with two-time world champion épée fencing competitor Nikolai Novosjolov. According to sources, Novosjolov acted as an intermediary in presenting the offer to Perling.

The Estonian Olympic Committee initiated the process with the intention of seeking a leader for the national fencing organization. Perling, who previously held a position as a State Prosecutor, brings a background in legal and administrative roles to the table. The Estonian Fencing Union is a national governing body responsible for overseeing the sport of fencing within Estonia.

Nikolai Novosjolov, a prominent figure in Estonian fencing, commented on the situation, stating, “We are exploring a range of qualified candidates to ensure the continued success and development of fencing in Estonia. This is a preliminary discussion, and we will be gathering further information regarding Mr. Perling’s suitability for the role.”

The Estonian Olympic Committee confirmed they are working to secure a suitable candidate for the position.
