♪ Listen 0:00 A traffic accident occurred in Kanepi village, Southern Estonia, on Wednesday morning, September 8th, 2022, at 08:11 in Ihamaru village. A Volkswagen Transporter, driven by a 47-year-old man, collided with a Toyota Land Cruiser, driven by a 33-year-old woman, on the main road. Following the impact, both vehicles left the road. There were three individuals in the vehicles involved. The driver of the Volkswagen was transported to the hospital for a medical evaluation. Due to the discovery of drug intoxication, the driver was also subjected to an expert examination. The other occupants of the vehicles sustained no injuries. Police initiated an investigation. According to the Southern Province’s press representative, Ragne Keisk, the road at the accident site was asphalted and dry, and both vehicles’ tires met legal requirements. Both vehicles were also utilizing proper safety equipment.
