Kleer Maibaum, the cultural director of Endla Theatre, reflects on his life and career, drawing parallels with his recent performance of Henrik Ibsen’s “The Ghosts.” Celebrating his 50th year as an actor, Kleer Maibaum believes that experiences, particularly those found in roles, offer a sense of intentionality to one’s life. “From the experience of Kleer Maibaum, I want to feel that there is nothing accidental in life,” he stated. Maibaum describes a process where new roles provide opportunities to explore personal themes and internal reflections.

He does not envision a specific role he would repeat, but rather seeks continued fulfillment and well-being throughout his future career. “I would like to be happy all the time, and I would like to feel myself extremely well all the time in my body, on every level,” Maibaum explained. He and his wife, Ingomar Vihmar, have resided in Pärnu for seven years, serving as the creative director of the Endla Theatre.
