Elroni Service Severely Disrupted Following Infrastructure Failure

Early Thursday morning, extensive disruptions impacted Elroni train traffic. The incident resulted in significant delays and a complete standstill of services in both directions. According to Elroni’s initial explanation, the issue stemmed from a software update conducted as part of the company’s standard nightly maintenance routine.

Unfortunately, the update led to irregularities in the traffic management system’s startup, causing widespread operational problems. The entire westbound Elroni service was immediately impacted, and the eastbound traffic was also affected. Trains attempting to enter Tallinn were required to remain stationary at the Ülemiste station.

Urmas Nemvalts, [Include Nemvalts’s title/role here – e.g., Elroni’s Head of Operations], is currently investigating the root cause of the failure. The company has stated they are working to restore full service as quickly as possible. Details regarding the full extent of the disruption and the timeline for service recovery are still emerging.

Passengers are advised to check the Elroni website and social media channels for the latest updates.
