Estonian Language Day Marked by President and Kegling Champion

Ukuaru’s “Eesti tänab” music hall hosted events celebrating Estonian Language Day on March 14th. President Alar Karis addressed the nation, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a vibrant and diverse Estonian language. He stated that the Estonian language is fundamentally linked to the nation’s identity and existence.

“Without the Estonian language, there would be no Estonia,” Karis declared, highlighting the significance of preserving the country’s linguistic heritage. Alongside the official celebrations, the event featured contributions from prominent figures. World champion kegler, Kristin Lätt, shared her personal perspective on the language.

Lätt reflected on her extensive travels, stating, “Having traveled a lot through the land, I have realized that my mother tongue is like a secret language.”
