Estonian Language Achievement Recognized at Annual Awards Ceremony Tartu, Estonia – The annual Language Achievement 2025 recognition event was held this year at the Estonian Literature Museum in Tartu. The event celebrated significant accomplishments within the Estonian language community. Two primary achievements received the top honors in the 2025 competition. The Ida-Viru Vocational Education Centre’s dedicated language organization was recognized for its contributions to Estonian language study. Additionally, the Estonian Old Testament glossary was awarded for its scholarly work. The popular vote, determined by public opinion, was secured by the Võro-language pocket radio program, “Poodi man.” This project highlights the ongoing efforts to preserve and promote minority languages within Estonia. These awards represent a significant year for recognizing and supporting linguistic innovation and preservation. The competition aims to acknowledge outstanding work in the field of language and foster continued engagement with the Estonian language.
