Ukrainian Volunteers Form ‘Caspian Huntsmen’ Unit in Zaporizhzhia A volunteer unit, dubbed the “Caspian Huntsmen,” has been established in Zaporizhzhia oblast, Ukraine, to assist in the defense against occupying forces. The initiative follows a situation where elderly Ukrainian pensioners have taken on the critical task of repairing military ordnance. Individuals aged and experienced, many of whom had initially refused military service due to their advanced years, are determined to contribute to the resistance. The group’s efforts are focused on returning weaponry to their original locations. According to reports, the unit is responsible for the refurbishment of approximately 70-kilogramme rockets. This specialized work is being undertaken by the volunteers as a means of directly confronting the occupation. The formation of this unique unit highlights the widespread desire within Ukraine to actively resist the invasion. The Caspian Huntsmen represent a significant contribution of experienced individuals committed to returning seized equipment back to where it originated.
