Estonian Academy of Scientists Offer Language Recommendations Tallinn, Estonia – The Estonian Language Correction Association will release a new publication, “Academics’ Different,” beginning Monday, March 23rd, and continuing through March 23rd. The series, accessible on the Association’s website under the “Language Correction Recommendations” heading, features insights from twelve members of the Estonian Academy of Sciences regarding contemporary Estonian language. The publication will consist of fifteen distinct language recommendations, reflecting a range of perspectives on evolving usage within the Estonian language. These recommendations are intended to provide guidance and stimulate discussion surrounding the nuances of the language. Several of the recommendations will also be disseminated through the Estonian National Broadcasting (ERR) science portal as part of Estonian Language Day celebrations. This multi-platform approach aims to broaden the reach of the discussion and encourage engagement with the evolving standards of the Estonian language. The project represents a collaborative effort to address and clarify evolving practices within the Estonian language, ensuring its continued clarity and precision. The Association hopes the recommendations will contribute to a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Estonian language.
