Colombia began voting Sunday in parliamentary elections that will shape President Gustavo Petro’s final months in office and indicate whether the former dominant right-wing bloc is prepared for a political return. Approximately 40 million voters are choosing from nearly 300 legislators. Security forces, including reinforced security units, are present at polling stations in the department of Cauca, Colombia, where indigenous Misaki women are expected to vote.
