A room is burning in a residential house; 17 people are evacuating

The State Fire Service (VUGD) responded to a fire in an apartment building in Aknīstes, Latvia, on September 7, 2022. Smoke was reported in a three-story apartment building in the Jēkabpils district. Firefighters discovered a room, measuring 30 square meters, was burning on the third floor.

Seventeen people evacuated from the building before the arrival of emergency personnel. Separately, firefighters in Riga responded to a fire on Siltuma street, where four people evacuated. Additionally, in Liepāja, firefighters addressed a boiler fire on Vidusceļa street, involving a 50 square meter area and a 20 square meter building facade, resulting in four evacuations.
