The National Armed Forces (NAS) and the Ministry of Defense (MO) are actively working to integrate the National Defense Service (NDS) into the existing national defense system, according to NAS Commander, Lieutenant General Leonīds Kalniņš. Kalniņš discussed the integration efforts in an interview with TV3’s “900 Seconds” program. The commander emphasized the ongoing work to ensure a smooth and successful transition of the NDS into the national defense framework.
