The Latvian Meteorological Bureau forecasts warmer weather beginning this week, alongside periods of rain. Starting this week’s holiday, temperatures across Latvia are expected to rise, though rainfall is also anticipated. Nighttime temperatures in Vidzeme and Latgale will drop slightly below zero from Thursday into Friday, with new cold records anticipated.

The weather will generally be dry and sunny. On Friday, Kurzeme and Zemgale will experience gusts of wind from the east and southeast reaching 14 meters per second, with daytime highs reaching +14 to +19 degrees Celsius. Saturday and Sunday will bring more cloud cover, with no significant precipitation expected.

Light to moderate southeast winds are predicted. Cold nights will persist, with afternoon temperatures rising to +15 to +20 degrees Celsius. Over the next week, air temperatures are expected to occasionally reach +17 to +22 degrees Celsius.

Some days will be cloudy and rainy, and wind speeds may fluctuate. Significant frost is not anticipated.
