In the middle of September, it will be a little warmer in Latvia

The air temperature in Latvia will slightly increase starting from this week’s end, according to forecasts. Temperatures will drop slightly below zero in some Vidzeme and Latgale locations on the night of Thursday and Friday, with new cold records expected. The period will be mostly dry and sunny.

In the Courland and Zemgale regions, gusts of east, southeast winds are predicted to reach 14 meters per second on Friday afternoon, with temperatures rising to +14 to +19 degrees Celsius. On Saturday and Sunday, cloud cover will increase, but significant precipitation is not anticipated. The wind will be light to moderate from the southeast.

Nights will remain cold, with daytime temperatures reaching +15 to +20 degrees Celsius. Over the next week, the air temperature will occasionally rise to +17 to +22 degrees Celsius. Some days will include clouds and rain, and the wind may strengthen, with no significant frost expected.

The temperature increase will be noticeable in the middle of September.
