Eesti minister Maire Aunaste stated that International Women’s Day held no significance for her. During an appearance on the “Hommik Anuga” program on March 8th, she expressed her belief that the holiday would disappear with Estonia’s regaining independence. Aunaste, who lives alone, described her television as her companion, stating she could not manage without it.
