Erika Salumäe Supports Henry and Tõnis Sildaru: External Negativity Is Not Your Concern

Freestyle skiing Olympic medalist Erika Salumäe has voiced her support for Henry and Tõnis Sildaru. The statement addresses concerns surrounding the Sildaru family’s experiences. Salumäe, a two-time bobsleigh Olympic champion, posted on social media, stating, “Henry and Tõnis, you have demonstrated that your journey to elite sport is progressing in the right direction.

Do not engage in conversations or actions that impede your ascent to the highest level of the Olympics.”

She continued, “A daily positive and good direction should be your motto. Anything negative coming from outside does not need to be your concern, as it is ultimately the problem of that person or those people. Henry, this should not affect you and try to learn to remain, in essence, unaffected by negativity.

Maintain your warmth and remain yourself. Henry, I know you have an even greater goal and try to focus only on it. I have been through similar journeys and know this very well.

Bring your goal and your coach’s dedication to life, dedicate yourselves to it, and go for this goal. Henry, I wish you and your coach success and perseverance. Respectfully, Erika Salumäe.”
