Maximum air temperatures on Tuesday ranged from +12.4 degrees Celsius in Alūksne to +17.0 degrees Celsius in Rucava. The highest air temperature in Europe on September 6 was +36 to +37 degrees Celsius in Spain and the Mediterranean islands. The lowest air temperature at night on Wednesday is expected to be -4 degrees Celsius in the Scandinavian mountains.
