Estonian speed skater Marten Liiv was awarded the best place of the season at the Hamari speed skating event in Norway. Liiv finished fifth in the 1000-meter distance, recording a time of 1:08.57. American Jordan Stolz took first place with a time of 94-thousandths, setting a new race record.
