The Tapa County Council, in collaboration with the Estonian Architects’ Union, recently concluded a concept competition to design a monument commemorating the Estonian War of Independence within the church park in Tapa. The winning design, titled “Raudjuur,” was submitted by Henri Kopra and Iiris Tähti Toom (Spatialist Studio OÜ). The monument will serve to honor and remember the victory attained during the Estonian War of Independence.

The jury deemed “Raudjuur” to be distinctive and multifaceted.
