Today, over the whole country, there are open fish docks for visitors to explore. The fifth all-Estonian open fish docks day is taking place, offering the public an opportunity to learn about the docks and fish. At the docks, visitors can taste local fish dishes, purchase fresh fish and fish products, and participate in a family-friendly event. Each dock features its own program and activities for all ages. The docks include fish scientists and fish chefs, alongside craft shops and fish restaurants. The event is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and the Fisheries Information Center. Funding for the day comes from the National Operational Programme of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund for the years 2014-2020.
