The city administration of Rakvere is implementing a temporary mass limit on vehicles exceeding 8 tons on roads within the Bird Kingdom area, effective March 28. The measure is intended to mitigate damage to the roadways caused by fluctuating temperatures and their impact on the load-bearing capacity of heavy machinery. “The construction of streets in the Bird Kingdom area cannot withstand the current season, when temperatures constantly fluctuate and have a direct impact on the load capacity of the roads, heavy machinery loads,” stated Kert Karus, Deputy Mayor of Rakvere.
