During the first quarter of 2024, there were five accidents on the railway involving passengers. Three of the incidents involved collisions between vehicles and trains at platforms. Two additional collisions were rear-end collisions with individuals.

In the platform collisions, no fatalities or injuries occurred. Two people sustained injuries in the rear-end collisions, according to reports from the Consumer Protection and Technical Supervision Office (TTJA). The accidents occurred in Harju, Valga, Rapla, and Ida-Virumaa counties.
